An Ontario Certified Teacher with 10 years of tutoring experience who loves biology and chemistry, with a patient, first-principles approach that helps the memorizing take care of itself.
Three things we hold to.
We want students asking why, not just collecting answers, so we ask the questions that get them thinking and then explain how things actually work. That understanding is what sticks, and it leads straight into how we teach everything else.
We look at how an idea was first worked out, then simplify it, modernize it, and make it our own, so you can use it or rebuild it yourself instead of memorizing it for a bad day.
The students who spend real time with a hard problem are the ones who actually keep it. We go steady on purpose.
Hello, I’m Jeremy.
For years I tutored friends, their younger siblings, and anyone curious enough to ask — at first just for the love of it. I genuinely enjoy talking about math and physics: they’re so fundamental to how everything around us actually works, and explaining them out loud is how I come to understand them better myself.
Somewhere along the way I set my sights on teaching. I’ve always been inclined to help my community the way it once helped me, so tutoring stopped being a hobby and became the thing I take most seriously. What started as just me is now a small, hand-picked team of educators who share the same approach.
Through all of it I’ve gotten very good at one thing: asking why. Why the formula works, why the step is allowed, why the answer has to look like that. Whoever you are and wherever you’re starting from, I’d love to help you learn to ask it too.
